I remember fondly the night that my mum and dad took me and my sisters to watch Shane. A lovely evening it was; and I'll never forget my mum crying at the end when the young boy shouted: "Shane! Shane! Come back, Shane..." God bless. x

Went to see"Gone with the wind", with my mum in the 50s at the Princess cinema ..Should told me off for falling asleep !
What's there now!
Alan, the building still exists though it's been a night club for about 25 years now.
Is the Clarence Hotel still in there?
I saw 'Planet of the Apes' and 'The Graduate' there. I can't remember why, I usually went to The Ritz.
I remember watching the Jungle Book there one afternoon in 1967. It was the summer and loads of kids and mums were there. I must have been about 19 and got chatted up!! Also it was next door to the Clarence. Ideal for a quick drink after!!
Giovanni,I can bet it was you that did the chatting up..lol.
My first date with my wife was watching Elvis in G.I. Blues at The Princes, in 1960
We were taken there from school to see Laurence Olivier in Henry V. The circle seats were very steep
