Recognise John Holmes, knew him when he lived in Beech Hill, he later played for a RL club, not sure which, Oldham or possibly Swinton?

Can't recall first name of Winstanley, but I played alongside him in same Wigan Colts side a few years earlier.

Thanks Roy, it reminded me that he was referred to as "Jem" - a really good bloke.
I played with Bev Mason at Orrell, and know Sharples from somewhere, in fact, I think I started this campaign with St Pats and was injured in the first round, soft bugger!
