Signed for Wigan December 1903. He met a tragic end on 20th August 1916 being drowned in a boating accident in Morecambe Bay. His last match for Wigan was against Hull on 8th April 1912.

cost Wigan 80 pounds. Even allowing for inflation a good bit of business

Definitely good business. Between 1903 and 1911, played 226 games for Wigan, scored an amazing 209 tries and for good measure 225 goals. Good value indeed!
