This would be in the 1935-36 season. Players standing left to right Len Mason (New Zealander, played for Wigan 1927 to 1935), James O'Sullivan (played 5 games for first team 1935/36), Charlie Seeling (played for Wigan 1933-36) whose father of the same name, a great New Zealand forward also played for Wigan from 1909 - 1920) and the legendary Jim Sullivan (a Welshman played 1921-1945). The player receiving treatment is Harold Edwards ( another Welshman who played for Wigan 1933-37).

James or as he was known Jim O'Sullivan, I forgot to mention, was an Irishman and I don't think too many of them represented Wigan over the years.
