Sadly I learned only this week that Ces had passed away last year at his home on the Gold Coast in Australia, he'd been ill for a while, His wife, Edna seen here was a Wigan girl and still lives in Australia as do their children.
Ces was a remarkable man, a fantastic player and a very successful manager after his playing days were over. His contribution to the game was considerable.
