Wigan Album

This is a picture from about 1968 taken in the back garden of another Aunty who wasn't an Aunty, Evelyn Rostron, and this is one of her sons and my brother. It's in Windermere Road close to the crossroads just down from the Scout Hut. Aunty Evelyn wasn't an Aunty but she might as well have been. A very dear friend.

One thing could be relied on these thoroughbred steeds was that if you had shorts on then at some point one of the springs would trap the skin on your leg. Tears before bedtime.
