Haymaking around 1920 in Gathurst. The woman on the right with her hands on the hay pile, is my Grandmother Mary Bryson, next to her is her youngest son George & the other older woman on the left is possibly my Grt Grandmother Mary Pryde Young from Gorebridge in Scotland.

Thanks for the comment Carol. It is great to come across photos you never knew existed, when my father died I found a whole boxful in the loft. I think its wonderful to be able to share the photos on Wigan World. Watch this space !
