My dad, Tom Parkinson, on accordion, with his friends sometime in the 1930's. It was taken in the garden of his home in Kingsway, Ince. I recognise the white stone rabbit I used to play with as a child. Unfortunately I don't know who the other band member are. Anyone help?

Graham,I've known your Dad almost all my life . I never realised he was a musician. Best wishes to you and Susan

Tommy, Dad played the piano and I don't ever remember a time when there wasn't a piano in the house. He was still playing on his 80th birthday even though it was with only one hand as his stroke prevented him from using his left hand. He is entirely responsible for giving me the love of music I have today.

Yes that’s my dad , I’m Graham’s sister Susan.
I still play Rachmaninov today...not by my own hand of course ...sadly... but as Graham has said ...we grew up listening to our wonderful dad , playing the piano.
Sunday evenings I remember clearly he went into the front room without fail and played.
As I a young girl climbed the stairs to bed listening.
He gave me that love of music too.
And of exploring a microscopic view of ponds and stream water from the local area behind the house.
How powerful that transfer of love is that will live on in a future generation.
