That seems familiar...My dad told of going to Rachel's after school (for a sandwich & drink.),with brother Bob. (From Whelley Secondary School)
Said it was near St Catharines Church.

It was Linney Street.corner of Neville Street & opposite Walter Darbyshire' grocer's shop
