Can anyone identify the regiment

Fred, can't help with the regiment but could you by any chance be descended from my great auntie Louie who had to sons..Samuel and Ernest? Louie was originally married to a soldier killed in the Great War then remarried to become Louie Foster.

They look like boy soldiers. My Dad, Ernest Morris, was one. He was one of the first Machine Gunners.

I always thought the banding wrapped around the lower legs (puttees?) covered the trousers but on the photo the trousers look to be cut just below the knees.... That's the first time I have noticed that. In actual fact,thinking about it ,that would be more practical I suppose. Or am I seeing things?
