This is some photos taken from my mum and dad's wedding album. They married at Saint Marks church, Newtown on the 15th of October, 1960.
The groom is my dad, Derek senior, bride is my mum Jean Ormesher, and I think the best man is Eddie Houghton.
My grandad Bill Finch is the one wearing the bow tie. Bridesmaids are My mum's twin sister, June Ormesher and cousin Janet Hayley. My Nan and Grandad Speakman are at the extreme right.

Nice photo Derek, and from it can I ask, if it's not too intrusive, the names of your Speakman grandparents on the right of the photo. I am c5 years down the line researching the Speakman family tree (my mother was Evelyn Speakman from Roby Mill), and I know that there are historical connections with Speakmans in the Pemberton and Ince areas. Any other names connected to your Speakman grandparents would help enormously.

Christopher, the chap on the far right is Peter Speakman and he was from Pemberton. My dad has confirmed he lived directly opposite the Travellers Rest pub until marrying my nan. Elizabeth. Peter died in 1979 aged 59. He is buried in Upholland church yard
