Ron,Girls with Tatoo's horrible sight, they will be sorry later in life.

Comment by: Jennifer on 26th September 2015 at 08:21

Never heard so many moronic comments "Cant see any mobile phones !!!"

"Yes Blob you're right, and girls look like girls."

"Not a tattoo in sight"

"Ron,Girls with Tatoo's horrible sight, they will be sorry later in life."

It's 1969 you imbeciles, times have moved on from this. Many of the girls will have been stuck in a marriage with drunken louts who thought the women should never venture out and get a good hiding every weekend. Happy Days!!! Time to take those rose tinted glasses off.

The times they were a changing then, and they did for the worst I'm sorry to say ,smartness went out the window and in came a lot of girls will be boys and boys will be girls in the fashion stake ss Bowie wrote,

Jennifer:Sorry to read your post with so much venom and anger, not all blokes treat women like you describe, but you are in order to point it out.
I used to go to the casino in 1968/70 and every girl I met was escorted home no matter how far she lived in and around Wigan.
Which usually ended up me walking home early hours in rain snow or shine.
You see Jennifer it was a question of honour,it may sound old fashioned but it was my duty as a man to make sure no harm came to her.

Comment by: Peter on 29th September 2015 at 21:18

John can,t agree with you more not saying I have had lot,s of girlfriends but they seemed to be spread out around wigan Hindley,Standish,Pem & orrell.

Comment by: Garry on 30th September 2015 at 10:54

Jennifer, the girls in these 60s photos (not the 70s) looks so clean and pure. What we are saying is today some (not all) look like men, dress like men, eat like men, sware more than men, fight like men, drink more than men and have jobs like men. Times have changed, but in most mens opinion, not for the better.

Comment by: Garry on 30th September 2015 at 11:36

Amy Winehouse (god rest her soul) for instants, she looked so dirty with all those tattoos, combined with boose, drugs etc. Many say she was a good singer, well that's a matter of opinion. The thing is, she was only 27 years old when she died which is indeed very sad at a very young age. If you look at the clean living of say Petula Clark a singer from the 1960s, she's now 82 years old. This is just a comparison to put things in perspective.

Comment by: Patrick on 30th September 2015 at 14:58

I'm saying the obvious here but there's nothing "wrong" with tattoos except their permanency, something that in a few years thousands if not millions will rue. Fashions change all the time, tattoos are no different except for this unfortunate indefinite characteristic. You can give up drugs, smoking or booze, not so easy once inked.

Comment by: Garry on 30th September 2015 at 17:07

In my day tattoos were for fairground men and people in jail, you couldn't get a job with them on your arms, bosses didn't like them.

Comment by: Alex on 30th September 2015 at 17:12

People's hair, clothes change with time, but tattoos are their forever, when they get older they look ridiculous to say the least. They try to cover their arms up.

JohnG you are right, your boyfriend saw you home. We caught the last bus to Standish which turned round at Pepper Lane, boyfriend saw me to the door and caught the bus back to Wigan. He then had to walk to Worsley Mesnes but, like you said, that's what lads did.

Comment by: John G on 1st October 2015 at 18:41

Linda. Thank you for endorsing my comments, just as a matter of interest
Did you end up marrying this guy.

Comment by: Linda Massa on 2nd October 2015 at 07:40

JohnG, no I didn't, married the wrong one and then divorced him.

Comment by: John G on 2nd October 2015 at 10:33

Linda: Just goes to show how strange life takes a different path, for me I was a young lad in school in Ashton, always had my nights out in Wigan and Hindley and married a girl from St/Helens and we have been together for forty two years.

Comment by: Linda Massa on 2nd October 2015 at 13:36

Married a lass from St Helens JohnG and you a Wiganer!

Comment by: Jennifer on 2nd October 2015 at 16:21

Not as rough as yours Jodi. Why don't you stop stalking me, and making abusive comments to others in my name?

Comment by: Jennifer on 8th October 2015 at 14:30

Excuse me, I post in my own name thank you, don't tell me what to do or post.

Comment by: mike on 10th October 2015 at 14:09

Jennifer seems to be talking to her self

Comment by: Jennifer on 13th October 2015 at 12:39

May as well be Mike, going off the ignorant people who now reside on WW. My name is Jennifer, not Jodi, Jazzy or any other stupid bloody name that these foolish people hide behind.

Comment by: Jennifer on 14th October 2015 at 21:42

So, how did you know I am Jazzy Jodi? Don't recall mentioning that??

Comment by: Jennifer on 15th October 2015 at 11:48

You seem to think that you and you alone are entitled to be named Jennifer. I will say this for the good of all my name is Jennifer, I am not pretending to be any other Jennifer, Jazzy, Jodi or anyone else. Grow up you silly paranoid person.
