Hi Margaret. Was Elizabeth a Roper before her marriage and was she born on Market Street in Hindley?
Hi Wiggwan, her name was Pendlebury she married John William Roper in 1908
Margaret, I think Elizabeth is a great aunt of mine as her husband seems to be my grandma's brother.Her name was Mary Ellen(Nellie) Beesley, nee Roper.She was born at the same Market St address as your grandfather but doesn't appear on the census records.
