John Davies born 1846 with his granddaughter Annie Davies 1910 - 1969, photo taken perhaps around 1914 in a Hindley studio. John lived at No 223 Liverpool Road, Hindley quite close to the Srangeways public house.

the watch chain John is proudly wearing now belongs to our grandson, five generations and over 100 years later.
