Gentleman on the right looks like Chris Foster.
Lived in Grove Lane, Standish.
Looks like it might have taken place in the early 1960's...the shorter style of dress was in vogue then
I would say late fifties, Helen. The head-dresses put me in mind of the fifties, and sixties hems would have been a bit higher, more knee-length. There is somehow just a Fifties "feel" to it, somehow, but that's just my opinion. Hope you're keeping well, Helen. It was lovely to see your comments on these photos.....I have missed them.
Irene you are probably right on the hemlines.
Hope you are still frequenting the 40's events, we will be taking a step back in time here in Sheringham in September. What a weekend it is !
The dresses reminded me of the "New Look" length of the Fifties, Helen. Yes, we are still doing the Forties events. We were at Haworth last weekend and we are going to Bury Station on Monday, (Bank Hol.) Love it!!
The dress length was called ballerina and worn with court shoes often dyed to match, so I understand.
Irene I almost feel I know you as I do enjoy reading your comments. Enjoy your forties weekend.
Thank you gra nnieannie!
