These two ladies I believe are, Esther Armsrtong (sat down) who married Edwin Davies in 1909 and Catherine Hilton who had a little shop in Warrington Lane.
Esther originally came from Wolverhampton in the early 1900s, in married life she lived in Mawdsley St, Hindley then Liverpool Rd, Hindley until her death in 1930.

I couldn't help noticing the barley twist legs on the folding table. They were popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian period, that one could have been quite new when this photo was taken
