This is a photo of my Dad in full kit outside his Mum and Dad's house at 56 Keble Street Higher Ince......I have no idea what date .....I know he was in the Grenadier Guards then the Royal Engineers....this picture shows him as Corporal I think as it was a farewell to his parents....very proud of him....Corporal William Arthur Hayes.

Thank you Maureen....he looks so young, possibly about 19 when he joined up, so he would most likely be of Private rank.....cheers!!!

And like my Dad yours is very handsome also and so very young, I think we are entitled to be proud of them Lizzie.
