The child in the photograph is Hannah Gough and one of the women is her mother, Elizabeth C1868 (nee Gore – maybe took the name of Holland when her mother married).
Elizabeth’s mother is Ellen, another woman in the photograph, C1851 (nee Gore – maybe took the name Fisher when her mother married).
I think the next two generations are Nancy Gore C1831 and Elizabeth C1805.
The child Hannah was born in Wigan but the women were born in either Standish or Shevington.
I am still trying to confirm the names of the first two women, Nancy Gore and her mother, Elizabeth.
Would you know if any of your Gore family married into the Peers family?
Did any of your Gore family marry in to a Highams family

I have DNA information on the paternal line of Gore from Shevington and elsewhere. Please contact me if you'd like details. It seems clear that generations prior to the ones living in the Wigan/Orrell/Shevington area in the 18th and 19thC came from the Knowsley/Sefton/Altcar area. The latter were the subject of detailed research at UCLan: info on this available if you'd like it.
Hi Mary, Alice Gore born 1854 was my second great grandmother. I'd love to see details of the DNA information you have if your still willing to share it.
I Think that Nancy (Nan) Gore maybe my great grandma.
