the woman in the pic is my great great grandma.My mum,whose maiden name is Brimelow still lives just outside Wigan and she has that very same photo.

trying trace family tree,james brimelow ,i believe jack and jimmy brimelow had it too,i may be barking uo the wrong avenue here ,james brimelow was in attendance on my great great grandads death certificate <thomas moss >buried in upholland parish church ,thomas lived in city road kittgreen ,he died august 25th aged 62 thomases wife mary

since my earlier comment ,ellen moss who was my great great grandads daughter married james brimelow in 1868 st johns pemberton .their children were william,james,john ,alice ann,thomas ,harold does these names ring a bell to anyone ?

Hi, Im a Brimelow. From my records my husbands family we think came from Wigan. Although with the spelling and accents the name changes quite a few times so we dont know if we are BRIMELOWS-BROWNLOWS-BROMILOWS etc.....i have traced back to a family of brownlows i think from brimelow farm? or where they brimelows from brimelows farm???? it can get quite confussing!

i havent been able to get back to this , due to my husband passed away last september, sharon , you say you are a brimelow , but not sure of your ancestors , the comments made by me re brimelows , do not know if any of that is connected
