The Arkwrights lved in Newtown on Omskirk Road, Ella was married to Henry Simm, at St. Mark's Church Newtown. For most of their lives they lived around Newtown and Spring Bank, but spent their retirement years in Orrell.

David, I think this is your mother. I remember her from when I took my children to have their photos taken to your shop in Newtown.

Yes Marie, that is my mother.
I remember her well and she doesn't half remind me of her brother Arthur.
