I recall this place being the Carlton club in the early 60s and the building later reverted to its original use as a picture house and after being divided became the Unit Four cinema. That closed in the late 90s or early 2000s.

Wasn't it known as the Sportsmans Club? A workmate of mine Sid Hichisson was a barman there for a spell. Freddie Starr and the Delmonts appeared there once.
