Believed to be a family in Ince/Wigan, found in the back of a framed painting as a backing board. Possibly a Higham group. Does anyone else have this?

I love these old photos. Those people who ever they are live and worked amongst us. Now they are long gone,even the baby. Makes you realise how short life is in the scheme of things.

This family must be kin to me somehow. I stare at their faces and wonder who are you? Unfortunately I will probably never know. Hoping by a miracle someone has this same photo and does.

It would appear that they had some affluence. The quality of their clothing looks good, they look healthy ... his jacket is interesting ... maybe tells the kind of occupation he had? Anyway - neat find.

If it is the family I think it is I think it likely that this was their best as the menfolk were miners.The pit brow lasses had a Sunday best dress in some cases if the Mumby pics are anything to go by
