looks like a Police line up photo to me, did she have a dubious history ? Reminds me of Maggie Muscle who used to frequent the Black Horse in Marketplace many years ago.
Could the number be something to do with HMP perhaps?
In the same grave is an Amos Lloyd who died at 154 Upholland Road, Billinge. That is the address of the former
Workhouse Infirmary, (opened 1910) now demolished. It later
became a psychiatric, general and maternity hospital. There
is now housing on the site.
Thats what I want to know. Not sure what was in her past... but I figured it had to be from either the police or some sort of Asylum.
Amos was her brother, who came to the USA and put in for citizenship but left for England before it came thru. Just found his death certificiate record and will be ordering both Ada's and Amos'. Still have no idea what happened to her husband, William Garner, or her son's Thomas and Ernest Garner.
Team number ,shot putt final somewhere

She probably did nothing more than steal a bit of coal to keep her family warm
if she says its sunday i wouldnt argue with her LOL
i was born at 154 upholland rd, mostly for unmarried mothers, does anyone have a picture of the place as it was
I found out that she died in 1918, and in 1919 her husband, William Garner married a woman by the name of Jane Bennett. I believe her maiden name was Jane Finch.... I would love to know what happened to the children that Ada and William had. Does anyone now these names?
