second from the left is my mum Mary who was married to Stan Somers. Third from the left, stood at the back is my uncle Walter and at the far right is my grandad Oliver Somers. If I can find out any further information I will post it as soon as I can

5th from the left is me, Jim (in V-neck sweater), Chuck McGill (behind me), Marjorie (Reid) McGill and Donald. Taking the photo would have been my dad, William McGill. Marjorie's mother Martha is Oliver's sister who moved to Canada in 1906 prox. We had a great time in Wigan. I think we met all the relatives in the area at the time in 1963.

I was at school with Dudley somers who went to Canada. Is he still alive. He had a brother John

I, too was at school with Dudley - Beech Hill County Primary Junior Mixed - then he went to the Grammer Schooland I went to the Wigan Girls' High School. John was about 2 years younger.He died a few years ago.

I was at the grammar school with both Dudley and John. Sorry to hear of John’s passing, I still have a photo of him when we went camping. Anybody know what happened to Dudley?

I too shared time at school with Dudley. He studied French at A-level while I followed Classics at grammar school .

Came back to Wigan for a visit and bumped into John the year before he died. Apparently Dudley goes by the name of Roger now (his middle name) and is still living in Canada. I just wish I’d asked for his address. He was a great friend. Also remember Ellis, he was SO clever, top of the class in everything. Happy days, long ago.
