This photo brings back memories of yore. I remember Winnie well she was always very cheerful . I used pass Burleys house on my way to Isaac's chippy in Vauxhall Road , Scholes was a fantastic community in those days , I wouldn't have wished to have been brought up anywhere else.

I am sure I used to hear my Grandma talk about Burleys, My Grandma was Margaret Rooney she lived in Darlington St. East.

I remember Winnie she was always sat outside the front door in Higham S t .Always spotlessly clean. Always passed her going to school. I remember Theresa her sister. Lovely to see these photographs
