back in dec 2009 i posted these two photo under unknown they were part of my dads collection on the back was a faint name in pencil which i thought it read A Horne not until i was researching my family tree did i find that my grandma tamer horne had brother charles looking again at the name it became clear it was a C not an A. asking a good friend off wigan world mike c could he see what he could find out about Charles from wigan and this is what he found. the document goes into great detail how he looked and how he served his country in the navy

Good work!! It's always nice when you can put another piece of the genealogy puzzle in place.
Mike C, you did a good job there. Have you any advice how we ourselves could follow up similar information about our forces relatives. What sites we would have to visit or what it would cost.
I'm pretty sure this is my great uncle Charles. He was the son of Ralph, a fruiterer from hope street Wigan. Charles' brother Edward was my grandfather.
