Ann Morris (nee Chippendale). Photo of my mum and her friend Agnes Jolly, Ann is at the front and Agnes is behind her. I think this photo was taken about 1948.

Glad you recognise my mum, me and my brother lost her at quite a young age me 19 him 11. I love this photo cause she looks so happy. Also love the turbans they have on, I remember her coming home from the cotton factory with one on, rollers in the front peeping out full of bits of cotton.

Josie where did you live in Ince, I stayed at my grandma Chipps during the week cos my mum worked, that was until I was seven, then my grandma died. I have such happy memories of John St, going for walks round Clary with Uncle Gerald, feeding the geese on Clary.

Chris I remember your mum she had lovely Auburn hair if I remember right.

Comment by: Chris Harrington on 11th September 2011 at 19:59

Josie it was number 4 John St. Yes my mum did have lovely auburn hair, she was the only one in the family with it and my son has the same hair colour. Unfortunately niether me nor my brother has it, it seems to have skipped a generation.
