An article was written about my Nana's Uncle's (pictured) in the Wigan Observer (Left to right: George, Simon, John Thomas & James)--around 1935/6. Article: These brothers Heaton, who live in the Highfield district, have remarkable periods of service at the Pemberton Colliery, their combined years of service totalling 147 years. The sons followed in the footsteps of their father, Peter Heaton, who worked at the colliery for 52 years as a loco. driver and brakeman. Of his eleven sons, ten of them worked at the colliery.

Stanley Heaton, b.1894, younger brother to the men pictured above and married to Ada Dutton? Or their son, also named Stanley, b.1916 whom has sisters Ada & Harriet? If either of those sound like the chap you're looking for, than I most definitely have heard of them. The first being my Nana's uncle & the last being her cousin. Please feel free to email me. We may be distant relations :)

My great grandmother was Lily Heaton, she was born in 1902 and married Joshua Derbyshire. Not sure if they’re part of these people. I also have found lots of Parr ancestors,I’d love to hear from anyone who can share any information. Who knows maybe we’re related!! Thanks Samantha.
