Don Lang & the Frantic Five....brings back a few memories. Kids know nothing about music these days !!
Ken, I think my uncle Bill's dad was an Alderman. I know he was a wrestler, he had Riley's gym. Riley's square was named after him.

Hi all, I'm John Riley Bills son. To clarify my Grandad John Edward Riley was Mayor, Alderman and Freeman of the Borough. Ernie Riley the Wrestler was my dad's first cousin and the son of Billy Riley who was Heavy Weight World Champion Wrestler (Riley Square of Greenough St is named after him. It freeks me out seeing my dad with hair!!
Alderman, and Mayor John Riley was my mother's uncle. I have a 1950 picture of him in his mayor's regalia along with his family. The picture also has Bill Riley in it.
John Riley, you aren't in this picture, guess you were a twinkle! I'm your Uncle Ernie's daughter (Pauline Riley now Hannon). It is good to see Uncle Bill with hair! Joe, is there any way you can send this picture of my Granddad and his family.
