I used to be in the choir at st Elizabeths church when Mr Pankhurst was the vicar lovely church.
I agree Julie,really lovely interior.A lot of my Mum's relatives went to this church.
The tall white headstone middle right is similar to the ones you see in the Military Cemetery's abroad
Those CWGC headstones can be found randomly in many graveyards in UK. They are still being erected when a casualty is found to be buried in churchyard. I know because I was instrumental in getting a headstone in our local churchyard for a WW1 soldier who had died in UK in 1917 and brought home for burial. He had been listed as missing on the Arras Memorial until I found him. It would be interesting to know who the memorial is for.
Eric Olaf Beard was the vicar when I was going to St'Elizabeths, he had a daughter named Iona and she had to put up with lots of jokes.
