Enjoying a spot of fishing. Well known member of the Aspull community was Lammy Bibby, landlord of the Mount Pleasant public house on Bolton Road in the 70s and 80s.

Lammy Bibby was my Uncle, and I would like to thank Mr. Harrison and Mr. Roberts for uploading this photo, as Lammy's passion was fishing and this is how I remember him - I have never seen this picture before. His wife was "Nellie" (her real name was Helen)Barton.

I have only just seen this thread - I knew Lammy when I was just a nipper. He and his wife used to go out once a week with my mum and dad who were Lawrence and Lily Wilson and they were landlord and landlady of 'Ye Olde Oak Inn' down Lostock Lane, Lostock just three miles away. Lovely fellow.
