What a fantastic building. How did they do it in that day and age. Is it still there?

The building is still very much there, in Dalton (not strictly Parbold, Lancs... I was born in an adjoining farmhouse way back in the 60s.

Where abouts is the hall, coming from Ashurst Beacon end? Currently looking at and trying to visit halls around Wigan and surrounding areas.

My mother use to live there in 1930s Her name was Evelyn Ainsworth Harrison ... I am looking for people that knew her and to find out what happen to my grandfather (her father) after he served time for bigamy

My dad was there with other lads.
So you have any information from your archives about Prior's Wood Hall?

Thanks

Trying to find out any information re. my late father who came to Priors Wood from Newcastle, he remembered the cart horses, and sharpening pencils with the caretaker (?) I don't know which year he was there, but he was born in 1926 in Newcastle and together with 5 or 6 siblings spent time in a catholic home/orphanage after being rescued by catholic nuns from forced child emigration

Terry kiny had children. Paul, Helen, Sara and another son. His first wife got killed in car accident on their honeymoon I think.
