There was a Factory St in Lamberhead Green and also one in Tyldesley. Perhaps there were more? It was taken somewhere in the Borough of Wigan.
That looks like our old car (A35?) It was quite unique, my dad having bought it from a chap from Coppull who worked for Northern Counties. He'd converted it from a van by putting windows in the side and a bench seat (from a bus) in the back. The "car" was then painted in maroon and cream. What my dad would be doing in Factory Street I don't know. The plot thickens!
I'm trying to identify the tall building at the back. Could it possibly be one of the blocks of flats in Wigan???
if it is one of the blocks then the pic was taken late 1960's
