Sorry for the lack of information on this photo, the only writing on the back reads "Factory Street".

There was a Factory St in Lamberhead Green and also one in Tyldesley. Perhaps there were more? It was taken somewhere in the Borough of Wigan.

That looks like our old car (A35?) It was quite unique, my dad having bought it from a chap from Coppull who worked for Northern Counties. He'd converted it from a van by putting windows in the side and a bench seat (from a bus) in the back. The "car" was then painted in maroon and cream.What my dad would be doing in Factory Street I don't know. The plot thickens!

I'm trying to identify the tall building at the back. Could it possibly be one of the blocks of flats in Wigan???

i was raised in st john street , very very earlier on it had been factory street , there were no row of houses behind ,it was st johns school my mum 96 years of age never knew it as factory street , so it was well before her time ,she thought it was called factory row , but map says factory street

My Great Grandad peter Bibby was born at Factory Field. Is this the old name for factory Street? Joanne
