Chapel Lane taken from outside Fire Station in about 1983. The Derby Arms was a lively pub in it's day.

Danni; The Derby would be in the middle of the southbound carriageway, just before the slip from Darlington Street joins.
Does anyone know the Nicholas Family who lived here in the 1920 and possible earlier? Annie Nicholas nee Clarke and her children Ellen, Maggie, Rosie and Annie. My Grandmother, Maggie moved to Kay's Houses when she married David Kearsley in 1928
