I'm sure regular contributors are fed up with me asking if anyone has a photo of Millgate before they demolished my nan's shop (Cunliffe's). Tom, did you take any before or during demolition?

What year? I’m just doing my family tree & history.. My dad born 1926.. I was actually born in Millgate in 1963..

My nan, Sarah Ann Cunliffe (known as Sally) and her husband Joseph lived at 32 Millgate from the late 1940s until the area was redeveloped and the shop demolished. It was sited next door to the Woolpack inn and almost opposite the Weind. I lived there for the first year of my life (1948) before moving to another part of town.
