t. When was the last occasion that the Whit Monday, "Procession of Faith," took place? I left Wigan in 1964.

Albert, according to the Wigan Today website(14/6/07) the last Whit Monday walking day was on 3rd June 1968. I seem to remember by then it was much smaller than in its heyday.

As a small child I recall being taken to see these processions, the pipers made big impression on me.
