Taken outside my Grandparents house, 43 Golborne St, Scholes in the mid to late 50s. Pictured are left to right, Mildred and Bert McCann, Doreen Hankin (nee Critchley), Marion Alty (nee Molyneux),Great Uncle John Molyneux and Grandma Florence Crithcley. Mildred and Bert worked with mum at De-Havillands and lived in Horwich.

Marion was a life long friend of my mother, Doris (nee) Whittaker, and my aunt Vera Glanfield (nee) Whittaker.They all had another friend who I only remember as Betty,and togeather they used to paint the town RED.I last saw Marion when My mother died 4years ago.Vera died 18 months ago,sad times.

Well Jean dad was a very good joiner so probably made the door, it was painted red I think. Mum, dad and me lived with grandma and granddad from 1947 to around 1954 (when I was 7 years old)and then moved to 22 Scholefield Lane, next door to you as you know.

my great grandparents thomas and mable parkinson lived at number 4 golbourne st with their children agnes may fred and joe in 1911

Hello John bit late with this but is that the John Molyneux who lived in Linney Street if so I lived across the road from him at number 34 if it it's really great to see a photo of him

Hi Joe yes that is John Molyneux who was my grandmother's brother and he lived at 37 Linney St. If you look under people, Molyneux, more of Gt Uncle John.

Hey John Alan thought it was I remember him very well in warm weather you could always see him sat on a chair outside his house did he used to work in the pit I do remember a woman knocker -up used to tap on his upstairs window with a long pole great days and a lovely man

Hi Joe, yes he did work down the pit. He also played rugby league for Halifax.
