May Queen dressing up - taken in 1965 outside 451 Gidlow Lane. My sister, Janet Lowe is the pirate front row on the left, with sister Pauline as "Queen" in the middle, and I'm Andrea (Lowe), the chunky kid in the tartan pants tagged on to the right hand side (Thanks Dad)! Others are friends from Dawson Avenue, Spencer Road etc.

Used to love May Queens, never see them these days, mind I am thinking back to the 1950s.
