I remember standing a bit further up the road, outside John Peters furniture store putting my then girl-friend on her bus in 1965. We'd just been watching Goldfinger.
I was a probationary Bobby in the early seventies. My tutor PC decided we would book all the bus drivers who'd left there engines running. It almost caused a bus strike.
