I once won the link at the court I think it was about £495 a lot of money back in 1985. Whatever happend to John who used to be the caller for a while.
In Wigan town centre in the 40s and 50s there were several cinemas. The Ritz, The Pavilion, The Empire, The Court Cinema, The County Cinema,The Prince's, The Scholes Cinema, and the Canada Cinema. this building is now The Wigan Little Theatre. There was a cinema in Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, but I cannot remember the name of it.
