I recognise the lady 3rd from left back row, she is Mrs Broadbridge, Jimmy Broadbridge's Mum. She made some of my walking day dresses.
I worked at Cooton Goods for about 10 years, I know most of the girls in this picture. We had some great nights out, there was always fun to be had, if it was only Sylvia Hlomes making fun of Joe Landes. He would come in dressed in a suit and we would start to sing John Colier John Collier the window to watch, do you remember that advert on TV?
My mum, Betty Hughes 2nd top right. What a great photo. Cant wait to show her.

Yes, Mrs. Morgan (middle front row) as Mick says. She lived in Byrom St. Poolstock. I went to school with Harry and Dennis Morgan, her 2 sons.
I worked here from 1969 until 1979 when I had my first child ,, I started on my 15th birthday and worked with with all these ladies , this picture was of the best work forces around wigan cotton mills where you could vote in the observer ,, I was in one too but not this one .. best days ever .. good bosses too Mr Ellis Landes , Joe is son and Julian their son/brother in law … take me back haha
