I know a few more faces but I can't put names to them.
I can recall going into a pub on the market square in the later 1970's and Joe Gormley was drinking in there. I can't remember the pubs name.
Didn't Joe Gormley get 'outed' as he also worked for MI5/Special Branch ?
Joe Gormley wasn't ousted, he retired about 1982 ish. That's his son on the photo right hand end. Was the pub on the market square the Park Hotel?

I think unions are about useless as a chocolate fireguard, maybe not back then but certainly now with all the nonsense going on. Where are all the unions when it comes to having our rights stripped away and having the right not to wear a face covering (a face nap) during work?. So much for unions hey. May as well jump if the government tells us and say "how high?".
