Descendants of those involved in the disaster in the procession from Maypole Gardens to Abram Parish Church during the Maypole Pit disaster centenary memorial day on Sunday 17th of August 2008.

Why is it younger people don't dress for the occasion (not the small children).
My mum & dad front row, 2nd & 3rd from right. My grandfather ( mum's dad ) was at the Maypole at the time of the explosion and escaped with a few cuts & bruises as he was working at the top of the shaft.
