This photo taken on Feb 8th 1936 by my father, E.W.Woodcock, was published in the local paper. The caption reads:
Wigan L.M.S Temperance Union A.F.C. "A" team occupy the top position in the J.O.C Welfare League, and are semi-finalists in the Wigan Cup competition.
Standing: L.Smith (assistant secretary), G.Houghton, E.Harris, R. Darbyshire, J.Smith, W.Kenyon, J.Brockley and H.Nicholson(trainer).
Seated: W.Pearson, P.Liptrot, T.Melling, T.Pearson and W.Thorpe.
