Can anyone identify which pit this was?
this is Park collieries know locally as Stones after the original owners John and Robert Stone who came from Huyton Quarry. it looks like the pic was taken from Ashton Cross

Yes, I think the photo is taken from near Ashton Cross, but isn't the colliery itself actually in Garswood? That is the name which appears in the address on Park Colliery's Private Owners Railway trucks.

My Dad , Jimmy Lomax, worked there.. cant remember the years, sometime in the 1950s is all I remember...
