This 33 page booklet was published by Lancashire County Council to show the complete M6 through the county from Warrington to Carnforth.
Given out to contractor's staff on completion of the Preston -Lancaster stretch that opened in January 1965.

Barrie, I wonder, would it be possible to scan, or photograph, or whatever, one or two of the items in close up and post them individually ? , as although the articles appear to be very interesting, I find I'm unable to read the text no matter how much I enlarge them. If not, then no problem, but thanks anyway.

You'd have to wait a long time nowadays to get a shot like the one at the top of the page. The pictures on the right, although I can't read the text, appear to be of Windy Arbour, taken looking south, while the one on the left would appear to be junction 27, taken looking north, with Mossy Lea road running parallel on the left, and Pepper Lane bridge and Charnock Richard services in the distance.
