When was the number one put into the Wigan code?
According to the internet Peter, 1995. Well spotted though, I hadn't thought about that.

Just for the record. This lad drove for Pennington Haulage for 44 years and is known far and wide. ( But not on Wigan World evidently ).
Hi all.. would be interested if anyone knows if this Ratcliffe was part of a family where one, Wilfrid Ratcliffe back in the 1930's worked in an iron foundry somewhere in Wigan. He did have a son with the same name born about 1926. No idea what became of son. I know its a long shot but still trying to find Wilfrid Sr. at the time of his marriage to my aunt. I have him as dying before 1940, probably aged about 40ish.
