What a great photograph, everyone looks happy. Not like a lot of workers today
A real snapshot of history. I love their clogs and the snap baskets. Would the factory carry on during the war or were these ladies put to war work on munitions?
ron ,you must remember one thing, that picture is from the 1930's,everyone who had a job had a smile.my mates granddad did not work from 1926 till 1939
The lady first from the left is Miss Kathleen Mcnamara.
baker its 2014 and jobs are hard to come by but the majority of people ain't happy in what they do. I must say I'm lucky that through out my working life there was only one job I hated and I moved from there after 12 months.
I started @ Ravenhead in July '67 & Kathleen McNamara was still there, she was a lovely lady, she retired there a few years later. Apart from office staff there was only 2 women working @ Ravenhead, the other lady ran the canteen.
