I used to know a very good looking conductress who lived near us,margaret Kenny in the sixties or early seventies.
A touch of deja-vu when I saw this, Ron - I sent the pic scanned from the original to the Album some years ago. You'll find it, with information about the clippie and the bus under, "Work - Wigan Corporation Transport".

oops David never noticed and couldn't remember seeing this photo before. That's the problem now there are so many similar photographs of buses and trains it's difficult to remember if they are already on the site.
