This pic was given to me by Mrs Lily Owens(nee Chapman) It is a group of girls from the sewing factory of Jones and Park, which was situated in Rowbottom Square. They made high class school ware and light clothing.Are there any more of the ladies still around? or does anyone recognise any faces.Lily is the girl in the centre of the middle row

The one on the right bottom row is Betty Brookfield a friend of my wife , she is now 85 and still gets out and about on her own, she was only 18 in this photo it was taken on the Great Orme in Llandudno as you say about 1945/47
I worked in the office of Jones & Park when
I left school in 1954 the managers then was
George Halsall and Charles Swann I really enjoyed my time there.

My father was George Halsall, still much missed. I feel I am back in the factory whenever I smell cotton. Did you live in Orrell, Doreen?
Yes Sheila I lived in Orrell Gardens my Dad owened Rogerson's motorcycles at Orrell Post.
